Productivity in Hydrogeology

Welcome

Welcome to Intersect! This is the first in what I aim to be a series of periodic posts about how to be more productive and get the most out of your hydrogeologic and water resources data using open source methods and tools.

With well over a decade of experience in the field, I have picked up a number of important skills that I would like to share with the community that have helped me be more productive:

  • General Hydrogeologic Concepts (e.g. Groundwater hydraulics, contaminant transport)
  • Programming (python, vba, powershell)
  • Geographic Information Systems (QGIS)
  • Groundwater Modeling (MODFLOW)

The target audience for these posts is:

  • water resources professionals who may be new or unfamiliar with open source computer assisted evaluations of their data

and to a lesser extent

  • those with strong backgrounds in computing, but may be unfamiliar with groundwater and water resources.

Getting Started

Thanks to Scipress's hierarchical structures, my posts will be organized in the nav pane of the left.

I hope you find this blog useful!
